Duluth Lakewalk - November Gales
I hauled ass with my photo gear and tactically
changed lenses out of the wind down on the Lakewalk after
work today, as there were 8 to 12-ft. waves crashing into
the North Shore. There were 33-mph winds gusting to 48
mph when I got down there at around 5:45pm, and the temperature
had risen to 53 degrees Fahrenheit. This storm was moving
from the Apostle Islands in reverse towards Duluth, feeding
a huge Low/High pressure system coming in from Saskatchewan,
Canada. All rain had stopped, and the temp went up, along
with the wind and the waves! Runners and bikers were out
on the Lakewalk tonight!
