The
river and falls, early ice forming |
A perfect "pancake"
of nearly frozen foam below the falls. |
|
|
This was actually
a handheld photo, taken at a long 1/3rd of a second
at f/5.6. Note how sharp the lower ice is in relation
to the moving water... |
A really bizarre
ice formation from the tip of an overhanging stick
on the river. The ice "baubles" are about
half an inch off the river surface... |
|
|
I liked this because
of the green grass still eeking a living on a river
that was nearly icing over... |

Tami coming with
a rake to clear ground consumables for the fire pit. |
Zoomed in on the
last photo, showing how Tami doesn't like having her
photo taken. By doing that "rake screen,"
she guaranteed that I would use this photo, heh heh!
Sorry, Tami! Great photo, though. |

The Hut without the
new floor, which was dug deep. Note the stove is still
outside, and the new floor bricks (courtesy of Ben
and Tami) are still stacked behind. |

The new chimney needed
some custom installation work, and it was rigged well! |
A view of way too
much gear for an overnighter at The Hut, but we all
had tools in our gear. |
